Search and Edit

To search all people in the Metagrid, enter in the search bar. For example, we want to search for Galileo Galilei (1564-1642). Start typing “Galileo Galilei” and press enter. You will find the concordance from Galilei. A concordance is a group of linked persons.

Metagrid also provides some filters to narrow your search. Expand the filters by clicking on the “filter” button.

• The years’ filter restricts the resulting persons by birth and death date.
• The “min X persons in concordance” will limit the result to concordances containing a minimum of X persons.
• The provider filter reduces the search results to concordances that include a person from the selected provider.

Add a person to a concordance

To add a person to a concordance, click the edit button on the concordance. This action moves the concordance into the edit window at the bottom of the page.

Then search for the person you want to add and also click the edit button.

In the edit window at the bottom f the page, you will see the concordance with the new person. Click save, and the updated concordance is immediately available.

Remove a person from a concordance

To delete a person from a concordance, search for the affected concordance. Click the edit button, and the concordance moves into the edit window.

Delete the person from the concordance and save the concordance.
